NFFTY Creative production A Supporting Role was honored at the Seattle ADDY Awards Competition, which seeks to recognize creative excellence in advertising. NFFTY was awarded a Gold ADDY® (American Advertising Award) in the category for Public Service.
A Supporting Role profiles the impactful non-profit organization Vitamin Angels as they seek to distribute vitamins to undernourished children and pregnant mothers around the world. Told from the perspective of three NFFTY alumni filmmakers – Alex Bohs, Joel McCarthy and Caleb Slain – this project seeks to bring awareness to the work of Vitamin Angels. The film was produced with generous support from vitaminwater®.
Presented annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the ADDY Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 50,000 entries every year through local ADDY competitions.
Earlier this year, NFFTY also received a Platinum AVA Digital Award for A Supporting Role, presented by Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. “Having the work of NFFTY Creative and our alumni filmmakers is very rewarding. This was an important story to tell, and we are thrilled by the final results,” said Stefanie Malone, Executive Director of NFFTY and Executive Producer on the project.
